TATTIE SCONES  

 

 

 

I know this is potato but they're called scones so I thought I'd put it here...

 

Another lovely, filling and easy recipe

 

1/2 llb cooked potato

 

1/2 oz butter 

 

2oz plain flour

 

1/4 teaspoon of salt   

  

 

Mash the potato with the butter, beat for a few minutes with a wooden spoon,

 

Add the flour and the salt.

 

Roll out very thinly

 

Cut and fire on a hot griddle both sides

 

Cool on a teatowel. 

 

These are delicious filled with butter and cheese or refried and eaten with your bacon and egg...
